New Blog Entry

John was given several barrels of discarded water from a local factory. He observed the water to be clear and odorless. He needed to get rid of the water so he dumped it in a local river. Do you agree or disagree with John’s decision to dump the water in the river? Explain your reasoning based on what you have learned in this unit.

Our First Blogs & The Golden Tiger

Today is a remarkable day. My class of 27 has just logged in and are writing their first blog. I'm excited to read what they wrote. We only have a few days until vacation, and I think most of them will be writing about that.

I haven't explained to them about the BLOG awards that I'll be giving out. I'll be reading their blogs every time they post, and finding one or two with exceptional writing. These blogs will receive the coveted Golden Tiger blog award. This award will be placed on their blog to show the world their thoughtful, grammatically correct, and content filled post. I know my students always do the best they can so it is going to be very hard to pick just one.

My First Blog

Welcome to our new blog. Together we will be writing our thinking and learning in these blogs. In the computer lab today, almost all of us created a blog using blogger.com and our gaggle.net email addresses. Looking on the right of my blog, you can find a list of links to every students' blog. I will be posting many times throughout the week and students will respond in their own blogs.
Throughout the year, I'll be teaching you how to respond many ways in your blog. Look at the wordle I made using terms from our Mixtures and Solutions experiment. Click on the picture, to see it bigger.
